There are three methods for deleting a WordPress Website.

  • With the help of Softaculous
  • You can delete it through cPanel.
  • Delete Through FTP

First Method:

How to Delete WordPress Website using Softaculous?

Step 1: Login into your cPanel through your username and password.

Step 2: Go to the Softaculous Apps Installer.

Step 3: You will see WordPress in Softaculous Apps Installer.

Step 4: Click on WordPress and You will see WordPress Installation.

Step 5: When will you open your WordPress installation. You will see many options. Click on Cross Mark (X) in Red buttons. This is used for removing the website.

When you will click on Red Cross Mark then it will ask for removing the WordPress Installations.

Step 6: It will remove your directory and database, user completely. So Click on Remove Installation in the blue button. After clicking on Remove Installation, it will ask for confirmation. Click on Ok and it will completely remove your WordPress website or blog installation form cPanel.

So it is a very easy process to remove your WordPress website or blog.

Second Method:

How to Delete WordPress Website or Blog using cPanel?

This method is manual deletion for a website or blog. Here you will delete Directory File and Database separately.

Step 1: Go to cPanel and click on File Manager.

Step 3: Select all the files by clicking on Select All.

After selecting all the files, click on Delete, it will delete all the directory files. So your directory will empty.

Step 4: After deleting all Directory files, delete the database and database user.

a. So for deleting the database, Go to MySQL Databases in Databases.

b. Select the database, which is linked to your directory files.

Click on Delete the Database

c. Click on Delete. It will redirect you to that page where they will ask for permanently delete the databases.

d. Click on Delete Database. It will permanently delete your database.

e. After deleting the database, Delete the Database User in Current Users.

f. Click on Delete. It will ask for Delete Users.

Delete MySQL Users

Click on Delete User and it will permanently delete the user.

So by this method, you can manually delete a WordPress Website or blog. If any problem persists, you can use this method to uninstall the WordPress blog or website.

How to Delete a Website Using FTP?

Step 1: Login into your FTP ( Filezilla) Account through username, password, port no, host URL.

Step 2: After Connecting through FTP, your website file has shown on the right side.

Step 3: Go to public_html.

Step 4: Select all files and delete all files through right-clicking.

Step 5: After deleting all the directory files, delete the database from cPanel.

Click on Delete the Database

So this is another method to delete the WordPress website.
